About Yuzu 30
Yuzu 30 belongs to the yuzu selections distributed for their aromatic interest and their cold hardiness. The fruit is used mainly for zest and juice. Precise data specific to this selection is less well documented than for the major Japanese cultivars, so we prefer to keep the general characteristics of yuzu clearly separate from what we observe on our own clone.
Our observations at the nursery
At the nursery, Yuzu 30 comes to maturity towards the end of November. We find the fruit excellent when fully ripe.
Yuzu 30 or another variety?
Worth comparing with Yuzu 3 and Tada Nishiki: the choice will come down to the hardiness you need, the ripening date and how much the seed count matters to you. To go further, see our Japanese citrus category.
