About Yuzu 3
Yuzu 3 is a yuzu selection valued for its cold hardiness and the sheer power of its fragrance. Very vigorous and thorny, it bears fruit that turns yellow at maturity and carries plenty of seeds; the real interest lies in the intensely aromatic zest and the juice. The fruit can also be used before it colours fully, for a sharper, more bracing profile.
Our observations at the nursery
In our growing conditions, Yuzu 3 proves vigorous and very thorny. We find it ripens slightly later than Yuzu de Kito. The fruit carries the powerful fragrance characteristic of yuzu, with a light bergamot note.
Yuzu 3 or another variety?
