About Kishu Kino Kuni Mandarin

Kino Kuni belongs to the Kishu group, the very small mandarins valued for their sweetness and fragrance. Small as they are, the fruit carries a striking intensity of flavour and peels easily. The name Kishu covers several clones and selections, so it matters not to confuse Kino Kuni with the modern seedless selections such as Mukaku Kishu.

Our observations at the nursery

On our Kino Kuni type, the fruit is small, very sweet, and can carry a few seeds.

Kishu Kino Kuni Mandarin or another variety?

Kino Kuni should not be confused with Mukaku Kishu, a selection known for having no seeds at all. Both belong to the group of small Kishu mandarins. To go further, see our Mandarins and clementines category.
