About Tarocco Rosso Orange
Tarocco belongs to the most highly regarded of the Sicilian blood oranges. Its flesh is fine, juicy and remarkably well balanced. The red colouring comes from anthocyanins and depends heavily on the weather: cool nights during ripening generally bring out a deeper pigmentation.
Our observations at the nursery
At the nursery, we find the fruit of Tarocco Rosso excellent when fully ripe.
Tarocco Rosso Orange or another variety?
Tarocco is generally sought for its finesse and its balance. Moro tends to develop a more intense pigmentation and a different aromatic profile. To go further, see our Orange trees category.
