How the tool chooses

It starts from the ripening dates recorded at the nursery, near Toulouse, and from the hardiness given on each product page.

  1. It keeps the plants available today that are hardy enough for your cold, in the families and uses you fancy.
  2. It adds them one by one, choosing those that bring the most months of harvest and varying the families, up to the number of plants you chose.
  3. It points out the empty months and what would fill them: a slightly less hardy plant with a frost fleece, a plant in a pot sheltered in winter, another taste, or a plant that is sold out for now.

"Four seasons" lemon trees, which flower almost all year, are mentioned separately: on their own, they would fill the calendar.

Indicative calendar: the year, the position and the age of the tree bring the harvest forward or hold it back. For the cold, see Understanding citrus hardiness; for the soil in your garden, Which rootstock should you choose? A question? Write to us.
